Kids’ Martial Arts Classes

At Easton Training Center we offer kids’ martial arts classes in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai.  These programs focus heavily on teaching children martial arts in a positive, playful setting. Classes include technique drills, games, live training, and a daily Mat Chat, where coaches discuss the life lessons of martial arts.

Why Enroll Your Child in Martial Arts at Easton Training Center?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai are widely regarded as two of the most effective martial art forms in the world.

Classes are geared toward character development and personal growth.

Learning martial arts in our academy instills confidence, discipline, and respect.

Classes will help your child develop social skills, and provide an opportunity to make quality friends.

We work hard to create a nurturing and positive environment where your child can feel safe and secure.

Our classes are a great way for any child to stay active while having lots of fun.

Kids' martial arts classes teach much more than punches and kicks.

Kids’ Class Offerings

Kids’ martial arts classes are separated by martial art discipline, age group, and experience level. Age divisions and schedules will vary by location.

A coach sits with three Little Tigers BJJ students giving the daily Easton Mat Chat

Tiger Tots and Little Tigers
Ages 3.5 – 7. Introduces the foundational movements of
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai through fun Gracie Games and drills. The goal of this class is to nurture our youngest students, turning them into socially adept little ninjas.

Tigers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Ages 7 – 9. In this class, students begin to learn the finer points of BJJ, from takedowns to finishes. Practicing with a partner gives them the opportunity to learn techniques in a dynamic, realistic way. No forms or katas here!

Tiger Tweens and Teens Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Ages 10+. This class is designed for older kids, and has a structure similar to the Tigers BJJ class. At this age, students are ready for more complex techniques and more live training. They are also ready to play a more proactive role in their learning, and the BJJ class setting helps them along in their transition from children to young adults.

Kids' Muay Thai at Easton Training Center

Tigers Muay Thai
Ages 7 – 9. In this class, students begin to learn the full variety of Muay Thai striking techniques. They’ll practice punches, kicks, elbows, knees, and defense movements. We especially emphasize safety and developing controlled movements.

Tiger Tweens and Teens Muay Thai
Ages 10+. Older students in the Muay Thai program will also work on developing proper form and control in the fundamental techniques. At this age they’ll be ready for more partner drills. For advanced students, this class will also incorporate light sparring, though never with head contact.

The coaches are phenomenal. My son, Zeke, is just learning and it's sometimes a challenge for him, but he is doing a great job with the help of the fantastic coaches. Coach Stolpe and Brian are really helping him out. I couldn't be more pleased with how much he is getting from Jiu Jitsu -- respect, persistence, coordination, and so much more.

I do the teens class, and I love it. I like the intensity of the class, and it has a lot of sparring, which I like. I also like that it is fun but strict. The teens BJJ class is awesome.

I like how chill all of the teachers are. Also how everyone is very nice and open to everyone. There is no discrimination against people. Every kid is really nice to each other and their goal is not to harm each other.

I think that Jiu Jitsu is a great sport in a nutshell. It is a rough sport, so be prepared for anything. All the coaches are great and fun. I think anyone should do BJJ. So yeah. Do It.

The professors and coaches and staff are all professional, kind and knowledgeable. I train BJJ, my daughter trains BJJ and Muay Thai in the Kids program. I am so thankful for ETC Boulder and all that they provide my family. I am always humbled on the mats as I learn and grow as a student and person. My daughter literally asked me if she could quit school and train full time (she is 7), so I had to say no. She tells me that in BJJ she feels most free.....like I said, I am so thankful to ETC.
